There are two ways that we can install your new roof: removing the existing roof down to the decking and starting fresh, or installing a new roof over your existing roof. Determining which approach is best for your situation is part of what we do. We are familiar with all the local building codes and whether overlaying is allowed, and we’ll assess your existing roof’s condition to determine which option will work best for you. An overlay offers cost savings, as well as providing you with an additional layer of roofing.
If you choose to remove your old roof as part of your roof installation, we’ll also make recommendations about possible ventilation improvements you might want to make in order to improve your home’s energy efficiency. We’ll make sure the remaining surface is in good condition and then install all the necessary new layers to ensure that your home is well protected.
